Complete the information on the following screens:
How many floors and units does this property have?
After entering the number of floors and units and proceeding to the next screen,

you may edit the floor numbers, units per floor, total areas (optional), and common areas (optional). To edit the floor number, delete the existing number, and enter the desired number or letter. Then click Next.

From the drill down button, choose the unit description or add your own description and add it to the list.
Status to use as default
From the drill down button choose a default. You can also type your own default and add it to the list.
Expected Rent for each Unit
Enter the most common Expected Rent in the form of actual dollars per month. If each unit’s Expected Rent is different, you can leave this field blank and add the amount to the individual units on the next screen. Click on Next.

The next screen will now display all the units and each unit can be modified separately, enter the area measurements, monthly expected rents etc. If you want to change the unit numbers, delete the existing unit number, and then key in your own numbering sequence. When done, click Next.

Notes on Unit Numbers:
1. You cannot have duplicate unit numbers within a building.
2. Unit numbers sort by number of digits first, i.e. 2-digit numbers first, then 3-digit numbers, then 4-digit numbers, etc. If you have units 21, 21a, 22, 22a, 31, etc., they will sort in order of 21, 22, 31, 21a, 22a. Therefore, make the unit numbers of the same length and sort them from left to right, e.g. 21- (21 Dash), 21a, 22-, 22a, 31-.
3. You cannot add unit numbers using the Space Setup Wizard to buildings that have already had units added to them. If additional units must be added to a building, in the Navigation Pane, select Find - Buildings – Buildings – Select the Building – Units Tab, and then manually add the units.
Parking Lot Information
If you want to record stall numbers, primary and secondary parkers, vehicle descriptions and license numbers, then you must set up parking lots. If you want to simply charge your tenants for parking and not monitor parking lot information you may by pass this screen by clicking Next.

The parking lot must have a name. You may use the building name.
Number of Stalls

For instance, if you have both covered and outside parking lots, enter the name of the parking lot and number of spots. Click next, make any adjustments, then click Back to add the second parking lot and proceed as in the first.

Based on the information from the prior screen, the system will create parking stalls. We can delete the lot we have just set up, or, add to that lot. We can start with new numbers or continue with the same number sequence. Make any changes necessary, and then click Next.
